System/Equipment Rating Training

The System/Equipment Rating Training is designed to provide system/equipment specific knowledge and skills essential for achieving full operational competence.

This phase of training is generally provided by the original equipment manufacturer, who offers specialized instruction tailored to the particular system or equipment.

Regarding the ATSEP role(s), the overall training progression begins with the completion of Initial Training, followed by the structured sequence known as System/Equipment Rating Training. This phase encompasses additional technical courses—whether through an academy or manufacturer—on-site practical training, mentoring by experienced personnel, and the gradual consolidation of hands-on experience to ensure readiness for independent operational duties.
